Bulk Freight

Goods that are shipped loose ? not in packages or containers (i.e. grain, coal, sulfur)

Bulk Freight Container

Refers to a container with a discharge hatch in the front wall; allows bulk commodities to be grasped by loading hatches

Bulk Goods

Term for all loose bulk material and liquid goods whose quanities cannot be indicated by the piece. The dry cargo includes e.g. bauxite, ores and grains, the tank cargo includes liquid chemicals, vegetable oils and crude oil. Opposite: conventional cargo
