W.M. (W/M)

Weight or measurement, the basis for assessing freight charges. Also known as worm. The rate charged under W/M will be whichever produces the highest revenue between the weight of the shipment and the measure of the shipment

W.N.A.

Winter North Atlantic. Mark at the loading line indicating the deep loading line of ships in winter which is important for voyages across the North Atlantic. The ship must be immersed up to this mark only. (Only for ships of a length of less than 100 m)

War Risk Surcharge

Risk surcharge on the freight rate for transports into war zones or to countries where war-like conditions prevail

Warehouse

A place for the reception, delivery, consolidation, distribution and storage of goods/cargo

Warehouse Entry

Document that identifies goods imported when placed in a bonded warehouse. The duty is not imposed on the products which in the warehouse but will be collected when they are withdrawn for delivery or consumption
