DAF (Delivered At Frontier)

The seller fulfills the obligation to deliver when the goods have been made available, cleared for export, at the named point, and placed at the frontier, but before the customs border of the adjoining country

Daily Container Costs

All costs incurred by a container during its period of use calculated per day (average cost), e.g. cost of capital, repair etc

Daily Operating Costs

Daily operating costs of a ship which are incurred irrespective of service speed and cargo volume, e.g. for water, supplies, wages, insurance and capital service

Damage Protection Plan

Method defined in contracts for insuring leasing containers against damages

Damage Report

Damage report issued by the terminal/depot if a container or freight unit was damaged

Dangerous Cargo List

A special list containing the dangerous cargo aboard a ship. It must contain the required details of dangerous cargo and its position on board and must be available aboard throughout the voyage. Among other aspects, it must be presented to the port authorities for notification
